I spent last week in West Texas- it was 107 degrees and after cooking my brain for seven days I came to several conclusions.... Without water we are nothing. You can hallucinate from the heat and see visions of lakes that just aren't there! Inversions and mirages are extremely cool visually but don't photograph well. Dirt makes an excellent sunscreen. No matter how tired and sleep deprived you are, the desert will not let you sleep if it has something to show you. I need to do important work and stop fooling myself that what I've been posting here is important. I travel with far too many cameras and they serve as a distraction.
